Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled and innovative Food Technologist to join our team. In

the first year, the primary focus will be on providing Research & Development (R&D) and

formulation support for dehydration products, pulp jams, and other concentrates. This role will

transition into overseeing the setup of a dehydration unit and food processing unit in the second

year.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. R&D and Formulation Support:

○ Develop and optimize formulations for dehydration products, pulp jams, and

concentrates.

○ Conduct experiments and trials to improve product quality, shelf-life, and

nutritional value.

○ Stay updated with industry trends, new ingredients, and processing techniques.

○ Document all formulations and R&D activities accurately.

 

  1. Product Development:

○ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create new product concepts and

prototypes.

○ Ensure products meet regulatory requirements, safety standards, and company

quality benchmarks.

○ Perform sensory evaluations and shelf-life testing.

 

  1. Technical Support:

○ Provide technical assistance and guidance to production teams during the initial

phases of product scale-up.

○ Troubleshoot formulation and processing issues.

○ Ensure smooth transition from lab-scale to pilot-scale and full-scale production.

 

  1. Preparation for Unit Setup:

○ Assist in the planning and design of the dehydration and food processing units.

○ Identify and recommend appropriate technologies, equipment, and suppliers.

○ Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for new units.

 

  1. Regulatory Compliance and Documentation:

○ Ensure all R&D activities comply with relevant food safety regulations and

standards.

○ Maintain detailed and organized documentation of all research activities,

formulations, and trial results.

 

  1. Training and Knowledge Transfer:

○ Train production staff on new formulations and processes.

○ Share knowledge and best practices with team members to ensure continuous

improvement.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in food product development, particularly in dehydration, jams, and

concentrates.

  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards, quality control, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in using R&D and food processing equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the latest trends and innovations in food technology.
  • Certifications in food safety and quality management systems.
